In life we have a choice .. To Believe or Not To Believe. Being fooled once by false information provided by someone should be a wake-up call to use judgment the second time information is given by the same source. Allowing ourselves to be fooled a second time should be an indication that in all likelihood we will be fooled a third time by said source.
Being fooled more than three times would only be our own fault. As Einstein states, "insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result".
It is our choice to believe or not to believe the source, and in some situations, enablers of the source. If someone has given false information and false hope time and time again, it is our choice to break ties with the source or continue to feed the source with the attention it craves.
We could all pray that the source gets much needed psychological help. But in the meantime, we can't control their behavior, but we can control how we behave and/or react. We can choose to be hurt and disappointed or we can choose to take the sources information for what's it's worth, which by now we should know is worth nothing. One thought to keep in mind is that the mentality of the source, which can almost be guaranteed, is not capable of knowing right from wrong.
So, it is in our power to believe or not to believe ... to walk away or to continue the insanity.
