“To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other.” —

Carlos Castenada

It is what we face on a daily basis—the calling to rise up and become the “warrior”. To stand up and take action according to the inner guidance that informs us when we listen.

Aries, the sign in which we find this Full Moon, is not just about ‘seeking the self’ but also about acting upon what we have discovered. We all have a first house in our charts, and Mars, and a house ruled by Aries that will be affected during this Full Moon.

It is time to stop nursing the infant, who is well over one thousand, 10 thousand, a billion years old now and consider the benefits of self-supporting activities that allow the self natural expression. It is time to consider self-immunization from external influences that would perpetuate unhealthy adherence to societal requirements in exchange for a meager diet that leaves us hungry.

So what is it we are seeing at this Full Moon?

What is being reflected to us through the Aries/Libra axis that takes us beyond our mundane considerations of self and into the light of our extraordinary abilities as physical beings; ‘sine timore’, to live without fear, and greet challenges with an almost arrogant assurance of our success.

This Full Moon is designed to stir us to our emotional depths while requiring us to express the results responsibly, with a refined patience that brings fulfillment to our ancient quest for long-lasting inner peace and stability.

With this Full Moon we are positioned to complete or further the fulfillment of a desire to know our true nature. Like a warrior, with strength and courage, we must face our demons and embrace them for everlasting peace. We are given the opportunity to peer into the darkest realms of our individual natures while being guided by the spirit of a knowingness that has traveled with us through many lifetimes pursuing our freedom.

We have a responsibility to our self to establish inner silence.

The only sound we hear is the vibration of divine energy that we commonly refer to as unconditional love.

“You may fetter my leg, but Zeus himself cannot get the better of my free will.” —Epictetus (Stoic philosopher 55-135 A.D)

The realization that we have free will and are therefore responsible for creating our individual realities, is an awareness that becomes more prevalent as we proceed upon our evolutionary journey. With this awareness comes freedom.

At first, upon recognition of this freedom, we become deliriously happy as though something magical has transported us from a grim earthbound existence into the realms of divine splendor where everything we experience occurs with ease and grace. This is well expressed through the Sabian Symbol for 19 degrees of Aries (always round up to the next degree) which is a ‘magic carpet’ the synopsis for which is “a strife-transcending and unattached outlook upon everyday reality.”

It will be our ability, at this Full Moon, to remain aloof from our emotional experiences in order to process the material effectively and efficiently. Therein lays our freedom to navigate the murky waters that flow through and define/confine the collective conscious to bring healing to our human beingness.

An interesting feature of this Full Moon chart is the square to the Sun and the Moon by the fixed star Sheliak. The beta star in the constellation of the Lyre, the instrument owned by Orpheus, Sheliak represents the strings. As the apex of a t-square this fixed star represents the way in which we resolve or balance the energies of the opposing planets or points (such as the lunar nodes).

In this case it is music that creates this harmony and at 18 degrees of Capricorn, the sign of composers, we hear a universal sound that in perfect structure defines the nature of our true being.

If we can feel that
It is not our voice,
Not our fingers,
But some reality deep inside our heart
Which is expressing itself,
Then we will know that it is
The soul’s music.
The outer music
Comes from an outer instrument.
The inner music
Comes from the heart.
The name of this inner music
Is oneness.

Music of the heart leads us from wild emotional disturbance to a place of channeling primal energies into conscious, deliberate expression of our divine and extraordinarily creative self.

During this Full Moon, at which time we choose to accept responsibility for our presence here and to take long strides beyond the limiting features of our daily landscape, we kiss the night and caress the day in a meaningful pas des deux that essentially transforms us into a shaft of light that rises upwards to greet eternity.

I hear the drum pounding a rhythm deep within me that seeks the long buried desire for a security acquired only by the knowing contained within that beat.

Blessed are the angels that heal my ears.

For this......I am grateful.
