16/10/2011Kurdish official delegation to be sent to Baghdad to work out outstanding issues
Erbil, Kurdish political sides decided to send a government delegation to Baghdad to deal with outstanding files.
A meeting held on Sunday, Oct. 16, attended by head of Kurdistan region, Massoud Barazani, the region’s Prime Minister, Barham Saleh, Speaker of Kurdistan Parliament and the delegation that visited Baghdad recently, decided to form a high level committee, consisting of representatives for all Kurdish political forces, in addition to observers appointed by the region’s head and Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, to follow up implementing outstanding issues.
In the meeting, Barazani stressed the necessity to safeguard the unity of Kurdistan’s political forces with regards to national issues.
