KRG delegation to visit Baghdad soon

Kurdistan region president Massoud Barzani met on sunday with the senior representatives of Kurdish political parties in Salahaddin resort, Erbil.

During the meeting, attended by KRG Prime Minister Barham Salih and Kurdistan parliament speaker Kamal Kirkuki, president Barzani discussed the results of the meetings of Kurdistan delegation that visited Baghdad 2 weeks ago, reaffirming the importance of keeping fraternity and union among Kurdistan political factions.

They also discussed current political situation in Iraq in general and Kurdistan region in particular.

At the end of the meeting, they decided to send KRG delegation to Baghdad to solve outstanding issues, strengthen Kurdistan region representatives in Baghdad, create senior political committee and put two political observers by Iraqi president and Iraqi prime minister.

Kurdish leaders decide to send a government delegation to Baghdad to follow up on outstanding issues

decided to Kurdish leaders at the conclusion of its meeting in Erbil yesterday, sending a government delegation to Baghdad to address the outstanding issues between the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government and the formation of a political committee senior comprising representatives of all the forces and political parties in the region.

The final statement said the meeting, which was attended by Masood Barzani President of Kurdistan, and Dr. Barham Saleh, head of the government and Kamal Kirkuki speaker of parliament and all political parties the Kurdish and the delegation of political Kurdistan, who visited Baghdad recently, that the conferees decided to send a government delegation from the province to Baghdad to address the outstanding issues between the KRG and the federal government and the formation of a political committee high of representatives of all the forces and political parties in the Kurdistan region and the appointment of political observers by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Kurdish regional President Massoud Barzani of the follow-up work and tasks between the Kurdistan region and Baghdad.

The participants confirmed their rejection decision down the flag of Kurdistan in Khanaqin, as the statement pointed out, that there is not Any decision issued by the Council of Ministers in Baghdad on down the flag of Kurdistan in Khanaqin, but the issue is that one of the officials in the Federal Ministry of the Interior, in coordination with the Directorate of Diyala police has issued a circular without the knowledge of the prime minister.
