Called on the Deputy Minister of Culture Taher Hamoud said Monday the U.S. administration to fulfill its obligations towards Iraq and hand over their archives national who is still its possession since 2003.
A statement released by his office about his call for the U.S. side to "stay away from procrastination and putting things in context, and not distracting negotiating effort, things do not represent a secondary priority for Iraq, "explaining that" the Ministry of Culture held in recent months a series of diplomatic correspondences with Washington, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, the Iraqi documents retrieved according to the agreement, which happened in Washington last year.
He said in a statement carried by news agency "Nina," that "institutions archives in Iraq started to recover and integrate in terms of technical possibilities and technical, including the Library and Archives of the Ministry," stressing the "Archives of Iraq represents one of the aspects of the sovereign country in which the United States should be respected in the framework of bilateral relations.
"Hamoud had headed the delegation visited the United States in May 2010, for talks with officials in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defence were received pledges from Washington and return all documents in its possession, including the Jewish Archive in a short time.
