Kirkuk, American ambassador to Iraq, James Jeffery, discussed the security aspects after the withdrawal from Iraq with a number of officials in Kirkuk province.
NINA correspondent mentioned “Jeffery visited Kirkuk today and met with its governor, Najmuddine Kareem, and Chairman of Provincial Council, Hassan Turan, and a number of the PC members.”
He added “security aspects after the American withdrawal were discussed and the importance of calming things down among Kirkuk components, as well as discussing the opening of an American Consulate in the province within the few coming days.”
