11/09/2011Zebari, EU Ambassador discuss means to consolidate bilateral relations
Baghdad, Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, discussed with the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Jana Haibshkova, consolidating bilateral relations.
A statement issued on Sunday, Sep. 11, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that discussing in the meeting covered the relations between Iraq and the European Union, as well as recent development in addition to draft project of cooperation and partnership, expected to be signed by the end of the current year.
It added the Foreign Minister expressed Iraq’s reservation on naming a special representative to Ashraf Camp, since the EU already has an Ambassador and a credited representation.
The statement pointed out that Zebari asserted Iraq’s keenness to develop and consolidate its relations with the European Union.
