Iraq Kurdistan Oil exports were not halted
Oil exports of Iraq Kurdistan’s oilfields did not stop, said an informed source from the North Oil Company on Sunday. The source denied Iraqi officials’ statements about exports’ suspension and estimated exports’ average, on Sunday, between 53 and 54 thousand Barrels.
“Oil exports of Kurdistan oilfields were not halted,” the source told Alsumarianews denying the statements of Iraqi officials. “Exports’ average on Sunday ranged between 53 and 54 thousand barrels,” the source explained.
“The statements of Iraqi officials on oil exports suspension are inexplicable. It might be related to the present political rows between Arbil and Baghdad while there are still Kurdistan oil contracts issue and the last oil and gas draft law which was rejected by Kurds”, the source noted speaking on condition of anonymity.
Iraq's oil minister, Abdul Kareem Luaibi, had announced at the sidelines of the promoting conference for the fourth licensing round in Amman, Jordan, that Kurdish exports had been halted but the region had given no reason for the shutdown.
