Thursday, September 15, 2011Once upon a time, I blamed the fall of society on the "Recliner" & "Happy Meal" (even had wanted to write my dissertation on the subject). But, the fall of society has been more than just those two objects...it is the kool-aid too. Collectively, WE, the international society has come to accept "quick". "Quick" food...."Quick" fixes...."Quick" drink.... WE have been conditioned to what is "Quick" and someone else does the preparations.
Everyday, I am blessed, because of a "crazy' investment. I am blessed, because it hasn't matured. I am blessed, because it has been a wonderful opportunity to learn how to invest in the things that truly matter at the end of life. My faith has grown in God and my family (blood and adopted). I have learned of whom...not what...to rely. There are very few "quicks" that are part of my life or my families anymore. We prefer to do it ourselves....food, fixes, information and preparedness. At this time in our lives...we must rely upon ourselves, no one is going to come flying in with a leotard and cape to save us...from anything. There isn't a "quick" superhero...we have to be our own superhero...we must be our children's superhero.
