Kurdistan leader Massoud Barzani and head of Al Iraqiya list Iyad Allawi, discussed in Arbil the situation in Iraq and obstacles hindering the political process, Kurdistan Presidency announced. Both parties called to resolve all pending issues in favor of Iraqis’ interest, the presidency added.
Barazani and Allawi stressed, during their meeting, on the importance of implementing Arbil agreement and finding an appropriate mechanism to occupy security positions in a way that guarantees security and stability in the country, a statement by Kurdistan presidency said.
Barzani and Allawi called as well on the national partnership government to act responsibly and in accordance with the constitution’s principles, the statement added. Both parties discussed the latest developments across the region in general, and the situation of certain Arab countries in particular, the statement concluded.
