He added that »the committee formed under the chairmanship of the judge and the membership of representatives from the concerned authorities in the province of Baghdad completed its work concerning the compensation covered by the law No.[5] for the year 2009, which provides for compensation to affected physically as a result of policies of the former regime and for reasons of ethnic and sectarian lines, as has been audited and then submitted to the Ministry of Finance for the purpose of allocation of the amounts of compensation are covered.
The Shammari said award amounts ranging from [5] million to [10] million dinars, according to the nature of damage and the deficit is installed in the medical report, pointing out that the law included those who were to cut the ear flap as well as those who distorted their bodies or cut off their hands or limbs of their bodies, in addition to the inclusion of those who were chronically ill as a result of the torture that was practiced against them during the era of the former regime, which used to be prisons and after making sure of the support Bmguetbs rule and a medical report proving their exposure to such acts.
