Iraqi minister: completion of about 80% of the draft summit Baghdad

Baghdad, The Minister of Housing and Reconstruction of Iraq Sunday for a complete about 80 percent of the projects planned Arab summit in Baghdad in the spring.

The Iraqi minister pointed out that the project will be completed in full with the date of the convening of a summit meeting in Baghdad in March next year.

Iraq did not add an Arab summit since late May of 1990 because of international sanctions and political constraints at the time.

It was assumed that the Summit will be held under the chairmanship of Iraq in 23 months from next March, but postponed to 29 of the same month, then postponed to the month of May and later postponed to next year.

The holding of the Arab Summit the largest event in the country for nearly two decades, while supposed to be done without U.S. presence. U.S. troops will leave Iraq - according to a security agreement - by the end of this year.
