Islamic Development Bank to support development in Egypt
CAIRO, Egypt's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Abul-Naja said agreements signed with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Tuesday aimed at boosting development in the north African country.
She said in press statement that the establishment of a USD-864-million power station in Suez aimed at strengthening economic development, provide jobs and improve living condition of people.
She said IDB would donate USD 300,000 to launch a project for teaching the Arab language for foreigners.
Abul-Naja said IDB's total financial contributions to different sectors in Egypt amounted to USD 900 million since the bank's establishment in 1974.
