Barzani meets with a delegation from the Brookings Institute, U.S.
Erbil, met with President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, on Saturday in the resort of Salahuddin in Arbil, with a delegation from the Institute Brookings U.S., and discussed with him the situation in Iraq and the question of the survival of U.S. forces and how to address the obstacles faced by the political process in Iraq, according to a statement published the official website of the Presidency of the Territory.
The statement, seen by Agence Kurdistan News (Rn), said, "Massoud Barzani, met today with a delegation from the Brookings Institute, headed by American director of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy Institute, Dr. Knipp Pollack."
The statement added that "the head of the delegation disclosed of the Barzani on the objectives of his visit to the Kurdistan region, namely access to the situation in Iraq in general and the province Besop particular, and those challenges faced by the political process in Iraq and the position of Barzani of these challenges, in addition to the question of the survival of U.S. forces and how to address those challenges ".
