CAIRO, Arab League said on Saturday that a meeting of senior officials in regional and international organizations concerned to find a settlement to the crisis in Libya will be holding a meeting at the Arab League headquarters next Monday to discuss joint efforts and find a solution to the crisis there.
Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League Ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli told reporters that the meeting of senior officials of the United Nations, the Arab League, African Union, Organization of Islamic Conference and the European Union will discuss the concerted efforts of these organizations to find a settlement to the crisis of Libya.
The meeting was scheduled to be held earlier but was postponed for further consultations in the light of ongoing developments in Libya and the efforts exerted at the regional and international levels in this respect.
The Arab League had held a meeting of senior officials of the five organizations last April 14 under the auspices of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to discuss the situation in Libya, where participants called for a cease-fire and the search for a political solution. (end).
