5/9/2011Kuwaiti Minister of Finance departs Doha
DOHA, Kuwaiti Minister of Finance Mustafa Al-Shimali left here for home on Monday after participating in the 11th Doha Forum on Democracy, Development and Free Trade and Enriching the Middle East Economic Future Conference.
Earlier in the day, Qatar's Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani inaugurated earlier in the day activities of Doha forum.
A number of political and economic figures attended the event, besides representatives of civil society institutions, presidents of international universities.
The forum discussed reforms and developmental issues in the Middle East, free trade, media challenges, freedom of expression and included a number of workshops.
Al-Shimali was seen off by Kuwait's Ambassador to Qatar Ali Sulaiman Al-Haifi and Embassy staff.
