Memorandum of understanding between Iraq and Indonesia
Marzuki Nujaifi and agree on the establishment of parliamentary friendship committee

Indonesia and Iraq have agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and the establishment of the Commission on the friendship between the two houses of Congress, and near the opening of the Indonesian embassy in Baghdad.
Was received by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki at his office yesterday, the official, the President of the Indonesian House of Representatives Marzuki Ali and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Maliki said Iraqi government's keenness to develop relations with Indonesia in all areas.
He said according to a statement received "morning," a copy of it: "This visit comes within the door of communication between the two countries and strengthening bilateral relations and expand the horizons of cooperation in the fields of economy, oil, agriculture, trade and culture."
The Prime Minister added that "Iraq is a democratic country and has a system of separation of powers, the legislature is moving toward strengthening relations with all countries."
For his part, the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives of the Prime Minister a formal invitation to visit Indonesia on behalf of the Government of his country, where Maliki has promised to fulfill it as soon as possible, and official said Indonesia's keenness on strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, particularly economic, commercial, agricultural, oil, energy, investment, and the keenness of House of Representatives and the Indonesian people and the unity of Iraq and support the efforts of the Iraqi government.
The head of the Indonesian House of Representatives: "The country is willing to open the Indonesian embassy in Baghdad, and strengthening ties between the two countries serve the interests of the two countries and two peoples."
In the meantime, he met with House Speaker Osama Nujaifi his Indonesian counterpart in the parliament building yesterday in the presence of a number of council members.
Najafi said during the meeting the importance of establishing a genuine relationship between the two peoples and sophisticated, and the House of Representatives of Iraq and Indonesia, two main groups on the consolidation of this constructive communication.
He also noted that the visit is the start of the renovation and development to move forward in the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the peoples of the Muslims.
For his part, thanked the Indonesian president to the Iraqi people through the parliament for the warm reception and invited President of the Council to visit Indonesia.
