He said Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said Iraq had made considerable progress in establishing security and political stability and to resolve all outstanding problems that affect the security and stability, especially with neighboring countries, He pointed to progress talks with Kuwait to solve all the problems left behind by the previous regime.
He noted during his meeting with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions of the European Union in Iraq, there are some organizations that pose a threat to the security of Iraq's internal and external, is the presence of its elements in Iraq, contrary to the Constitution, and Iraq's efforts in building relationships based on non-interference in the internal affairs of common interest with all States, particularly neighboring countries.
Maliki has called for European Union countries to activate their role to participate in the process of building and reconstruction in Iraq on or about the desire of both sides to develop cooperation between them and development at various levels, stressing that Iraq stands by the desire of peoples to freedom and to achieve their demands through peaceful means.
For their part, assured the ambassadors of EU countries willing to cooperate with Iraq in all areas, and supporting security and stability, and support the Iraqi government in promoting it.
As they are keen to encourage European companies to operate in Iraq, and take its proper role in the process of construction and reconstruction.
