Close source to Maliki supports voting on Vice President

Baghdad, A close to the Deputy Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki revealed on Wednesday that the parliament will vote on Thursday on the Vice President of the Republic, noting that voting will be in one basket.

Salman al-Moussawi, told AKnews that the parliament will vote on Thursday on the Vice President , Adel Abdel Mahdi , Tareq al-Hashemi and Khudair Khuzaie.

"Voting on the three deputies will be in one basket, rather than vote individually."

The Iraqi parliament members Yonadem Kanna told AKnews that "the parliament session was supposed to include voting on the Vice President of the Republic, but the disagreement on the type of voting made the parliament postpone it."

"The Presidency of the parliament wants to vote on the MPs at once, but the deputies are demanding to make voting individually on the three candidates." The Iraqi parliament had voted at its 20 session on a deputy law or more for the President and it acknowledged to make them three deputies, the law includes that the president should select a deputy or more and propose this nomination to parliament for approval when he receives his constitutional missions.
