President Talabani receives US ambassador in Baghdad
Iraqi president Jalal Talabani received US ambassador to Iraq James Jeffrey in Baghdad.
During the meeting attended by some Iraqi officials, joint relations between Iraq and the US were discussed.
Both sides discussed the political and security developments in Iraq and attempts to fill the ministerial posts which have remained vacant.
In discussing the situation of the Arab countries, especially that of Bahrain, president Talabani stressed the importance of multi sects to establish national harmony in that country.
