PM Maliki submits candidate names for security cabinet posts to Parliament
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has sent the names of candidates for his cabinet’s security posts to the Parliament to be voted on during Monday's session, the semi-official al-Iraqiya TV Channel reported.
Severe differences have taken place regarding the candidates for the security cabinet posts that are still vacant, particularly the posts of Interior and Defense Ministers. The first candidate comes from the National Alliance, while the second comes from of al-Iraqiya Bloc.
Each side rejected the candidate from the opposing side.
