BAGHDAD (Iba) ... The head of the National Investment Commission Sami Raouf Al-Araji, the desire to strengthen the bonds of economic cooperation between Iraq and South Korea through the implementation of South Korean companies large investment projects in Iraq.
A statement by the Information Office at the National Investment Commission, that during the meeting, emphasizing the desire to promote economic cooperation between the two countries, noting that the minister pointed out that Iraq is a country rich and enjoy the wealth and natural resources make it fertile ground for investment in various sectors.
For his part, praised Araji expertise and the economic potential of large companies owned by South Korea, and Iraq's need for such expertise for the advancement of different sectors including, industrial, agricultural, energy, housing, transport, communications and others.
He explained that the National Investment Commission is currently negotiating with a number of South Korean companies, to contribute to the implementation of part of a project to build one million housing units in all governorates of Iraq, which reached the negotiations to an advanced stage will culminate during the next few months, the direct implementation of the project.
He Araji said National Organization is ready to provide all the facilities and the safeguards guaranteed by the Investment Law No. 13 of 2006, as amended, the South Korean companies and other companies wishing to enter the process of investment, stressing that there is a way selective minutes followed by the national selection of companies implementing investment projects in Iraq.
