The Iraqi - Kuwaiti meet in Kuwait to resolve the outstanding issue

Higher Ministerial Committee will begin the Iraqi - Kuwaiti meetings in Kuwait on Sunday to discuss the outstanding issues between the two countries, foremost of debt and compensation, and relation to the termination case of Iraq - Kuwait's UN Security Council resolutions. Al-Hayat said that it is scheduled to host a meeting today convened by the Kuwait and Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah.

For his part, a media adviser to the Iraqi government, Ali al-Moussawi said Baghdad was very optimistic of this round of negotiations, which had been prepared long ago and counts on its findings to end the country's obligations relating to the UN Security Council resolutions.
