Snip ~ The Financial Consequences of the Middle East Protest Movement? Just as we pointed out after the Tunisian episode, this was the beginning of CIA, MI6 and Mossad planned activities in the Middle East. As usual there were several objectives. The first was a distraction to cover up the financial troubles in the US, UK and Europe.

Snip ~ From behind the scenes will emerge leadership tied to the CIA, MI6 and the Mossad.

These new governments will look like they are anti-west and anti-capitalist, but that will not be the case.

Their overthrows have been in the works for years and all the new players are in place. Unrest will probably continue over several months perhaps for a year.

A solution will be found for Libya and the west hopes their puppet regime in Saudi Arabia stays in place.

A party led by Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki announced it was proposing that Iraqiya leader Iyad Allawi lead the Arab League.

Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa announced his intention to step down to run for president in Egypt. Moussa joins a list of candidates that includes diplomat and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mohammed ElBaradei.

The Iraqi State of Law coalition said it proposed Allawi as the next head of the Arab League.

Allawi, Maliki's top challenger in elections last year, backed out of a key strategic position amid a series of political flare-ups in Iraq.

Iraqiya leaders told the Voices of Iraq news agency they were honored by the nomination but had no discussion with Allawi on the matter.

Iraqiya lawmaker Zuhair al-Aarajy said his party wasn't officially informed of the nomination but noted Allawi "enjoys great respect" from several Arab leaders.

"All Iraqi political blocs hope that an Iraqi personality would hold the post of the Arab League's secretary-general," he added.

The Arab League during the weekend agreed that Baghdad would host its May 10 Arab summit.
