After the escalation triggered by the entry of Peshmerga forces to Kirkuk, Iraq Speaker Oussama Al Nujaifi said on Wednesday that these forces shall pull out from the province during the next two weeks after making an agreement with the government of the region. Nujaifi stressed that the parliament did not receive any request to interrogate the President over his last statements.
During a press conference held at the parliament, Nujaifi said that the final decision about the candidates to be appointed in Security Ministries shall be delayed till after next week he also called the Prime Minister to give the names of candidates to security ministries the soonest possible.
Iraq Speaker said that the parliament set a plan to gather all the ministers in order to set a common plan that aims to evaluate the performance of the ministry stressing that the council will take resolute stands from ministers who fail to implement those plans.
Nujaifi added that the Council sent committees to visit Iraqi prisons in cooperation with the ministry of justice in order to check on the situation of prisoners therein. To that, other committees were sent to Basra in order to check the validity of imported ration card units.
