On the occasions of Kuwaiti national days, a galaxy of world dignitaries and officials expressed admiration of Kuwaiti foreign policy and the achievements and developments it achieved since under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Though Kuwait is a small country in terms of size, it is a significantly important state with respectable political, economical and cultural weight, Spanish Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez said in an interview with (KUNA), Sunday. The Spanish top diplomat also praised the pivotal role played by Kuwait to support stability and peace in Middle East, given the tolerant and reconciliatory approach of its policies. Jimenez congratulated Kuwaiti leadership and people on the occasion of their national celebrations in which Spain would be represented by an official delegation.
Kuwait marks this month the 50th Anniversary of Independence, 20th Anniversary of Liberation and Fifth Anniversary of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's assumption of power.
Bosnian Parliament Speaker Sulejman Tihic extolled the Kuwaiti balanced foreign policy and the role it plays in promoting the culture of peace, dialogue and cooperation among all world countries. In an interview with (KUNA), Tihic lauded the role played by HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah in formulating such a balanced policy. The people of Kuwait should take pride of their Amir and his balanced stances and positive participation in international causes, Tihic said.
He congratulated Kuwaiti leadership and people on the occasion of their national celebrations. In the meantime, Syrian journalists appreciated Kuwait's role in closing Arab ranks and pushing ahead Arab development plans as well as the progress it achieved in all fields.
In exclusive statements to (KUNA), Head of the Syrian Journalists Union Elias Murad and Editor-en-Chief of Tishreen newspaper Samira Musalama also described Syrian-Kuwaiti relations as close and candid. They also greeted Kuwaiti leadership and people on the occasion of their national celebrations Meanwhile, the Kuwait-based Arab Planning Institute highlighted the great role played by Kuwait in backing Arab development plans and projects.
"Kuwait has been playing a leading and pioneering role in supporting Arab economical and social development plans," the API said in a special report released Sunday on the occasion of Kuwaiti national celebrations.
API is a non-profit regional organization whose primary mission is to advance the cause of economic and social development in the Arab countries through training, research, consultancy, expert-group meetings and publication.
