World Bank allocate 10 million US dollars to structure banks of Rasheed and Rafideen

Majed Alsoury the manager of Iraqi Rasheed and Rafideen banks restructuring unit said that the international bank allocated 10 million US dollars as a grant to restructure the two governmental banks, Alsoury added that the international bank allocated this grant to restructure the two banks and the general directorate of exchange and credits through the next two years.

Alsoury clarified that his unit which consist of chairman and two financial and contracts experts will work in the coming period on signing contracts with international companies to manage the process of training the staff of the two banks and the general directorate of exchange ,

Alsoury clarified that his unit is coordinating with the Iraqi financial monitoring body , central bank and the ministry of finance in order to organize the process of banks restructuring and electronic development of bank transactions,

Iraq has decided at the beginning of 2006 to restructure the banks in order to get rid of the heavy debts,

Iraqi ministry of finance announced that it seek through the next year to put integrated plan to develop electronic governmental banks,

Also Iraqi ministry of finance called on the central bank to speed up the process of issuing permissions of private banks establishing.
