2/21/2011Bahrain King, Ban Ki-moon discuss latest developments in Manama
MANAMA, Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a phone call on Sunday from UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
The Bahrain News Agency said the two men discussed the latest developments in the region and areas of cooperation existing between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the international organization.
The agency added that Ban stressed the importance of the call for dialogue launched by the Bahraini monarch and deputizing Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of armed forces to initiate dialogue with all parties and groups in the Kingdom.
The agency said that Ki-moon wished the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people security, stability, progress and prosperity.
The agency quoted the Bahraini monarch as expressing his thanks to the Secretary-General, praising the role played by the international organization in establishing the foundations of security and stability in the world and find solutions to various international issues and service of all peoples.
