Nuri al-Maliki renewed their call for amending the Iraqi Constitution

New Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, on Monday, demanding to amend the Iraqi constitution, noting that reform in the country begins to modify some of the paragraphs of the Constitution.

Maliki said in a speech during a meeting with a group of Iraqi teachers union that the Constitution grants the people freedom, but he also said he has no right to encroach upon the laws, referring to the ongoing demonstrations.

He explained that the demonstrations in the area opened the doors of change for the peoples of the absent because of the dictatorships of those States, describing the realistic demands of the demonstrators, and warning of the politicization of the demonstrations.
