Maliki’s visit to Kuwait ends successfully
The official visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki to Kuwait ended successfully. Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Mohammed Sabah Al Salem said in a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Hosheyar Zebari accompanying Al Maliki in his visit that the issue of Iraq due debts to Kuwait will be passed to the National Assembly for discussions.
A Kuwaiti delegation meanwhile is due in Baghdad on March 13 to assess joint committees work on the borders issue. Zebari for his part called on Kuwait to help remove Iraq from UN Charter Chapter VII, he said. Prime Minister Al Maliki met with Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah who affirmed his personal attendance to the Arab Summit due in Baghdad.
Al Maliki convened as well with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Naser Al Ahmad Al Sabah and visited the National Assembly.
