Heads of parliamentary blocs and political figures hold a lengthy meeting in the Office of the Prime Minister
Called Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki and the Speaker of Parliament Mr. Osama Nujaifi to further cooperation and coordination between the executive and legislative branches.
The Prime Minister at the expanded meeting was attended by the heads of parliamentary blocs and political figures, which was held this evening at the Office of the Prime Minister at the invitation of its sovereignty over the government's need for a package of legislation and laws to solve problems encountered in their work.
He said: We're still working with many of the laws of the former regime Owalqguanin developed before the formation of the legislative authority in the country, which caused many difficulties for the Government.
He called on Prime Minister to the cooperation of the House of Representatives in the task of nation-building and the completion of the foundations of modern institutions, stressing that the government can not work without the support of the House of Representatives.
He stressed the need to provide better services to citizens, and the development of the state budget to meet the urgent needs of the people.
The Prime Minister in spite of having some financial difficulties in the current year but the biggest challenge facing us is the time factor, there are energy projects and service projects in other areas but they need more time to complete and give fruit.
For his part, called the President of the Chamber of Deputies to the investment climate of trust that emerged after the political consensus that was reached, indicating the readiness of Parliament to support the government in its efforts to resolve the problems of citizens.
He also noted Mr. Osama Nujaifi to start the discussion phase of the laws needed in parliament, calling for a clear strategy to solve the problems we are experiencing.
The head of the House of Representatives that the current government is able to succeed if the support and cooperation by the parliament, calling for a solution to the problems encountered in their work.
The conferees discussed the most important challenges facing Iraq, and developments in the region, was emphasized on the necessity of unity and solidarity to face internal and external challenges.
The meeting underlined the necessity of holding such meetings often, emphasizing their importance in reaching a common vision between the executive and legislative branches.
Presented at the meeting a number of proposals to resolve the issues that stand in the way state-building and resolving the problems of citizens.
