Iraq Parliament refuses 4th Vice President appointment

Iraqi Parliament on Wednesday called on citizens not to allow for demonstrations to be exploited. The Parliament is working to meet the people’s demands, it said.

Iraqi Parliament refused on the other hand by a majority of votes to amend Vice Presidents law and appoint a fourth one.

Most lawmakers argued that appointing a fourth Iraqi Vice President would weigh on the budget.

In Wednesday’s session as well, Iraqi Parliament voted to form an investigation committee into the bad services of mobile phones firms and reasons for not reimbursing their licenses.

Al Iraqiya List spokesman Haidar Al Mulla affirmed in this regard that the committee is entitled to remove the licenses of these firms if they fail to commit to related regulations.

Iraq’s budget meanwhile is still subject to discussions inside the Parliament.
