Arab League Ambassadors discuss unrest in Libya

CAIRO, Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa expressed on Tuesday his deep concern regarding developments in Libya, calling for an immediate ceasefire to save innocent civilians.

Moussa made his remarks during an extra-ordinary Permanent Representatives' meeting, headed by Iraq's Ambassador Dr. Qais Al-Azawi.

Kuwait was represented by Charge d'Affaires Ahmad Al-Bakr.

Moussa noted as well that the meeting will touch upon many ideas concerning developments in the Libya.

Libyan Permanent Representative in the League, Abdulmenem Al-Houni has recently resigned in protests of the use of excessive force against civilians in Libya.
