Allawi and al-Maliki to speed up search by announcing the Strategic Council

Baghdad announced today an agreement of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and the leader of the Iraqi bloc, Iyad Allawi, to complete the agreements of Arbil and the completion of the emergence of the Political Council for strategic policy controversy, which threatens to delay the political process and government of national partnership. During the meeting, to discuss the latest developments in the sudden political situation in the Iraqi arena and the region where the two sides stressed the necessity of completing nominate ministers of the three security ministries vacant.

They also discussed the Council for the strategic policy and the role of this Council to support and enhance the performance of the government.

Allawi pointed to the need to continue to Barzani for his efforts in bringing the views between the political parties.

It is expected that the close to Barzani visited Baghdad to press for implementation of agreements on Irbil in respect of national partnership between the political blocs, especially Maitalq including the formation of the National Council of strategic policy.
