Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki confirms the importance of developing relations with Japan

Said Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki on the importance of developing relations with Japan in all areas as one of the friendly countries that have good positions with Iraq.

This came during a meeting at his office today, the official Japanese ambassador in the new Iraq, Mr. Susumu Segawa Ha.

The Prime Minister: We have a desire to work in Japanese companies in Iraq and contribute to the process of construction and reconstruction, especially as the government is interested in reconstruction and has a great direction in this regard.

He congratulated the Japanese ambassador in Baghdad, Mr. Prime Minister on the occasion of forming a government of national partnership, confirmed that the Japanese government welcomes its formation, and wishes her every success in that it seeks for the security, stability and prosperity of Iraq and the Iraqi people.

Mr. Susumu Segawa Ha: We try our best to strengthen relations with Iraq, and we will work to strengthen these relations in various fields, particularly in the areas of economic reconstruction and construction.
