Amr Moussa: the Kurdistan region of Iraq is a success story

Arbil, January 10 (Rn) - Secretary-General of the Arab League, in the framework of his visit to the Kurdistan region and meeting with the President the region, Massoud Barzani, said he was the initiative of Barzani to form the Iraqi government, strong echoes in the centers of the Arab political, stressing that the province of Kurdistan is a "success story of Iraq ".

He explained that "the arrival of Amr Moussa and his meeting with us, is linked to the question of convening the Arab summit in Baghdad."

On relations with the Arab states the Kurdistan region, Moussa said that attempts were being made to encourage investors and Arab businessmen to invest and work in the Kurdistan region.

He noted that "the Egyptian consulate opened recently in the Kurdistan region, as the first Arab Consulate, as well as the intention of Jordan and United Arab Emirates and other countries, to open consulates in the region."
