House of Representatives shows oil and gas law to discuss mid-month

A member of the National Alliance, on Saturday, the House of Representatives will discuss the middle of this month, oil and gas law to regulate the export of crude oil out of the country.

The MP said Haider al-Yasiri of Kurdistan News Agency (Rn) that "the Iraqi Council of Representatives will discuss the issue immediately after completion of the rules of procedure and distribution committees and activating its oil and gas law, which was supposed to approve in the previous parliamentary session."

"The House of Representatives seeks to approve oil and gas law before the end of this year to develop its oil exports in line with Iraq's ambitions to increase exports by 12 million barrels a day."

He called a number of economic experts earlier to make amendments to the oil and gas law as it stands with regard to paragraph (IV - c) of Article 18 relating to obsolete the initial contract, and the formation of the Federal service.
