The Awad that "the plan of the new government in the advancement of Iraq and revitalize economically urges local governments and provincial councils to expedite approval of projects and sent to the budget planning for the purpose of ratification and then to the Ministry of Finance for the purpose of allocation of funds has thus expedite investment projects, development of the regions to serve the provinces."
The Iraqi Council of Representatives at its second session had approved this year a proposal to allocate one dollar to the provinces for every barrel of oil produced from the fields, and one dollar for the production of every 150 cubic meters of natural gas, in addition to the allocation of 5% of the total income of border crossings, including commercial ports which are located in Basra.
