Kuwaiti investor stresses on need to increase trade between his country and Iraq
Cairo, The head of Kabetha Kuwaiti Industries Company and the member of Arab investors Union called on Tuesday to increase trade exchange and economic cooperation between Kuwait and Iraq, stressing the importance of Kuwaiti contribution in Iraq’s reconstruction from Kuwaiti companies to support cooperation between the two countries.
Mohammed al-Naqi, told AKnews that Kuwait and Iraq are part of the Arab world, our relationship with Baghdad is like the rest of the Arab countries, we seek to increase the ties of relations because of the affinity among the families in the two countries in border towns. "
"Trade relations between Iraq and Kuwait have been around for ever and will remain despite any political differences as the two countries forms a critical geographic extension to each other." Indicating that “public and private companies must contribute on the reconstruction of Iraq as there are a large number of investment areas of both in the consumer food industries or construction”.
Over Iraqi compensations to Kuwait, he said "this matter is of a political nature between the two countries and should be resolved amicably; I do not think that the political leaderships in both countries are unable to find a solution to the outstanding issues and they reached mutually-acceptable solutions”.
