Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki: Resolving the issue of missing Kuwaitis and humanitarian and religious duty and obligation with the State of Kuwait
Received the Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki at his office today, the official representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq, Mr. Ad Melkert, and Coordinator of the Secretary General of the United Nations and the Special Rapporteur to the issue of missing Kuwaitis and nationals of third world countries, Mr. Gennady Tarasov.He stressed Iraq's willingness to resolve all outstanding problems with Kuwait and in particular the issue of missing Kuwaitis.
The sovereignty: that Iraq is fully prepared to do everything asked of it in this area and investigate any information that could lead to find the remains of missing persons who consider the search for them and a duty humanly and religiously regardless of being committed with the State of Kuwait.
The Prime Minister stressed the obligation of Iraq to resolve all outstanding issues and overcome the effects of the brutal invasion of Kuwait was subjected to by the former regime and as soon as possible.
