Plan to employ 250,000 workers in Iraq

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq’s Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs has announced a plan to employ 250,000 unemployed workers with the help of a number of foreign states, the Ministry’s media official said on Tuesday.

“The Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs has published a document, aimed at the employment of 250,000 unemployed workers, with the assistance of a number of foreign states, including the United States, Japan, China, and South-Korea,” Dara Ahmed told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He pointed out that the announcement was made in a “ministry conference, chaired by Labor & Social Affairs Minister, Mahmoud al-Sheikh Radhi, attended by representatives of several foreign states and world organizations,” adding that the program would be officially announced within the forthcoming few days.
