Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said the ministry come a long way in the liberation of Iraq from Chapter VII of money saying it was about to close the file of the oil-for food, medicine and controversial contracts which are still outstanding so far.
Zebari said in a press statement today that the ministry made great strides in a very liberating Iraq from the consequences of and subject to Chapter VII and sanctions at the level of disarmament and weapons of mass destruction.

However, Zebari said the closure of this file does not mean that Iraq would emerge directly from the Chapter VII of the existence of some other issues that need to parliamentary legislation on weapons of mass destruction or an additional protocol on other issues as well as the presence of some outstanding issues between Iraq and Kuwait, which has not resolved yet.
He said the next government will be in front of a few simple decisions to resolve this issue before political decisions are most likely the end of the vocational and technical parts to address these issues from being the functions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was left but the decisions that could be enacted with the formation of the next government.
