BAGHDAD, called representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Iraq, Ad Melkert Iraqi leaders to redouble their efforts and work hand in hand to ensure the completion of the process of forming a representative government of the people and a comprehensive fully be able to respond effectively to the needs of citizens.

He said in a message on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha: "I would like on behalf of the United Nations in Iraq to extend my warmest wishes to the Iraqi government and people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha."
He added: "The achievement has been made recently at the level of the government formation process confirms our belief that it will not be possible to impede the march of progress in Iraq towards a democratic system is not irreversible as long as the country's leaders remain committed to the principles of dialogue and partnership."

Secretary-General invited the Iraqi leaders to continue to demonstrate a spirit of partnership through movement urgently to complete the formation of the new government.
The United Nations has confirmed its commitment to helping people and government of Iraq in efforts to achieve national reconciliation and building a strong and prosperous country.
