He added: «We continue to believe that Iraq's efforts to form a government should remain Iraq, without interference from other States».
The sources said a U.S. official told «Middle East» that the best solution for Iraq, the opinion of Washington is to involve the four blocks, the legs of Allawi and al-Maliki and the Kurdistan Alliance and the Iraqi National Coalition, in the next government, but there is growing recognition in Washington that this solution is elusive. Having confirmed the list of Iraqi refusal to officially participate in any government headed by Maliki, with the survival of Maliki insisting on the nomination list of «the rule of law» to head the government, and Washington is considering other scenarios posed. At the same time, the U.S. administration believes that the picture is not clear after a final or crystallized on the composition of the government, while consultations continue in Iraq. Washington considers that the best scenario depends on the access of al-Maliki, Allawi to power-sharing deal, Washington has already worked on that over the past months but the effort has not produced a concrete outcome. And American sources confirmed that the likelihood of achieving this agreement retreat.
Betting Vice President Joe Biden on the potential success of the efforts of the Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani of the convergence of views between the main blocs in and out format acceptable to the Iraqis.
