Representative of the Secretary-General Melkert expresses confidence in Iraq's political leaders to reach agreements to form a new government

The representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Ad Melkert expressed confidence that Iraqi political leaders will succeed in the end to reach agreements to facilitate the process of forming the new government on the basis of broad representation of all the components and the political blocs.
A statement by the Office of the Vice President Adel Abdul-Mahdi received by the independent press (Iba) and during a meeting with Abdul-Mahdi to Melkert said that the two sides discussed political and security situation in the country, and the latest developments with regard to the subject of forming a government.
And the transfer of the Bureau on Abdel Mahdi reiterated that the dialogues between the political blocs reached an advanced stage, and that most of the political blocs agreed on the need to form a government of national partnership involving all the winning lists in order to be able to cope with problems and difficulties facing the country at the current stage in the future, especially in the field of security and public services and improve the performance of state institutions and the evolution.
