28-10-2010 United States Embassy hails Govt. formation talks
The Embassy of the United States of America in Baghdad- Iraq, issued the following statement:
The Embassy of the United States of America in Baghdad hails the Initiative of the President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani to hold discussions among the key blocs that participated in March 2010 elections .
It is possible , these discussions recently held in Baghdad and attended by representatives of all the key blocs to be an important step towards the formation of the Iraqi government.
There is no change in the stance of the United States Government regarding the formation of the Iraqi government: “We urge all parties to continue joining the political process and show flexibility to accelerate the formation of a government that should be inclusive and representative and responsible in front of the Iraqi people”.
