Friday 29-10-2010 Symposium in Maryland for the purpose of promoting investment in Iraq
Maryland, Commerce Department was organized in cooperation with the Iraqi trade delegation in Washington Symposium in Baltimore City, Maryland State appropriated to discuss trade and economic investment in the Iraq and steps and actions taken by the Iraqi Government to encourage and attract foreign investment. The Symposium has thrown during a number of speeches and presentations by some of the officials of the Ministry of Commerce and the u.s. Embassy in Baghdad, the u.s. Chamber of Commerce as well as with officials of private foreign investment agency and the u.s. Export-Import Bank and a number of representatives of American companies operating in Iraq. The symposium included also cover aspects of how to finance investment projects by banks US destinations.
Added: we introduced these lectures prospects for development and progress in the Iraqi economy and the possibilities that can be used for establishing a business partnership between the United States and Iraq. As was discussed the challenges facing the American private sector in Iraq legal or procedural barriers that may face investors.
