Iraqi delegation for Made in USA fair
DOHA: A 13-member delegation from the Republic of Iraq National Investment Commission has arrived in Doha to participate at the 2nd Made in the USA –Qatar 2010 Exhibition, which is now on at the Doha International Exhibition Center.
The delegation is headed by Abdullah Al Bander and includes representatives from 13 provinces of Iraq. The Commission was established by the government of Iraq and is responsible for attracting foreign direct investment in Iraq.
The Commission operates with branches in all of Iraq’s 13 provinces and assists the Iraqi government in creating the strategic investment policy of the country. The Commission’s vision is to lead the development private sector activities and to be a unique service provider and facilitator for the business community in the country.
The main purpose of the visit is to identify and attract Qatari companies and investors looking for investment opportunities and promote the prospects and vast markets open to business in Iraq.
Abdullah Al Bander, said: “Qatar has become a leader in identifying investment opportunities around the world and we are looking forward to engaging the private and public sectors on the tremendous opportunities that exist in Iraq for our Qatari brothers.
We are delighted to participate and assist Qatari companies looking to increase their presence in Iraq.”
