Girl ~ A Girl Interrupted ... living with multiple identities ...living with psychosis ...

Coming soon ... The story of woman who, at a very young age, lost her brother and the traumatic effect it had on her development.

An investigation to find out what happened to him is ongoing. Was he murdered? Was he kidnapped? This tragedy has haunted her throughout her life. As her mother marches off to Washington to find someone to help with the investigation, Gwen is left behind with her sibling waiting for answers.

Her coping mechanism has been nothing short of escape. Gwen can be compared to Sybil (real life Shirley Ardell Mason) where Sybil's severe trauma led to the development of at least 13 different personalities. Although Gwen could be compared to Sybil, it wouldn't be fair to catagorize her as such. Gwen's deep seeded psychosis is much worse than Sybil.

Some professionals say that a person with multiple personalities can be helped. A breakthrough for a patient with this type of mental behavior can come with their acknowledgement and acceptance that there is a problem. (This will be explained in depth later in the story).

Find out if Gwen, over her 33 years, develops as many personalities as Sybil? and ... will the "cold case" ever be solved ...will one of GG's family members be able to help her by solving the case? Time will tell ...

Gwen has always struggled with an identity problem. Her trama as a child forced her into an emotional state of make believe. Gwen's impressionable years as a child robbed her of the ability to distinquish right from wrong. Her sense of self and purpose perhaps destroyed forever. One of her main survival skills "fantasy".

Gwen's elementary years were filled with trips to the principle's office for fighting with her peers. A trait that would continue for the next 33+ years. What has baffled the professionals and authority figures over the years is GG's drastic personality changes from sweet and innocent to mean and confrontational. For this very reason, Gwen did not have many friends.

Gwen's high school years were difficult. As a child, GG would have been labeled obese. Her younger years were spent struggling with weight issues. She's a somewhat pretty girl who is constantly on a diet. her one downfall, Vinny's pizza. Over the years Gwen was able to lose a decent amount of weight. She was pleased with her appearance, but she became obsessed with having her picture taken and displayed wherever and whenever possible. She was able to make friends easily. Keeping them was the hard part. A few of her alternate personalities portrayed her as "the girl next door". Sadly, Gwen and her aloof personality, made it difficult for friends to trust her.

Gwen is a "look at me" personality type. If she is not the center of attention, she becames confrontational. Gwen has the ability to debate others who don't agree with her for hours on end. It has been and continues to be self sabotage on her part.

... to be continued ... find out more about the cold case and Gwen's unique ability to interact with her multple identities.

E-book - work in progress - check back for updates ...and revisions. Any input? let me know. This is a sad story and it should help make sense of why people do the things they do. Research for this story has helped me feel compassion for the terrible circumstances that have followed this poor girl thoughout her life. Gwen is in a constant fight with her demons and without professional help, they just might destroy her.
