BAGHDAD (Agencies): An official source revealed from within the meeting of the Iraqi List, Monday, that the Vice-President of the Republic and leader of the Islamic Supreme Council, Adel Abdul-Mahdi to attend a meeting in Iraq, confirming the presence of news about Iraqi support for the nomination of the latter to lead the next government.
The source said in an interview with "Alsumaria News", "The leader of the Islamic Supreme Council, Adel Abdul-Mahdi is attending the biennial meeting of the Iraqi List, out of position on the formation of the government, as well as discussing recent developments in political alliances."
The source, who asked not to be named, said: "There are reports of support for the Iraqi List to nominate Abdel Mahdi served as prime minister."
